A Frank Herring and Son Bentwood Vintage Spinning Wheel in perfect working order.
The Herring was introduced in 1983 winning a Design Centre award. Only around 1000 were made and the design was discontinued in 2015. It is stamped on the underside of the table with a Simon Williams stamp.
It has a 0.5″ orifice, 3 enormous and original bobbins which can hold up to 200g. It has the ability to run in Scotch tension or in double drive and has three ratios.
It has its original instruction booklet.
This wheel is in perfect working order and only for sale due to down sizing.

Rug frame Loom 115cm L x 80cm W plus 5 100 % wool rolls of yarn and a cone of cotton warp.
This frame can be taken apart so easy to transport.
Frank Herring Bentwood Spinning Wheel
This 1990’s spinning wheel won an award for its design.
It is no longer made but the company in Dorchester – Frank Herring and Sons sells the bobbins which fit it.
I have the instruction manual for it, but no bobbins.

Louët Spring Floor Loom (8 Shaft / 12 Treadle)
A really lovely opportunity to own a Louët Spring floor loom in excellent condition, with everything you need to begin weaving straight away.
This loom has been very well cared for and is such a calm, enjoyable loom to weave on, smooth, quiet, and beautifully made. It’s currently set up with 8 shafts (with the option to expand to 12 if ever needed), along with 12 treadles, so there’s a gentle flexibility to it. It would suit someone at the beginning of their weaving journey who wants something they can grow with, as well as someone more experienced looking for a reliable and thoughtfully made loom.
I purchased the loom from a seller in Wales and transported it to my studio. She had purchased it from George Weil.

Reason for sale or trade : I would prefer a Schacht (American) or Leclerc (Canadian) loom as that is what I trained on and very familiar with. The countermarche system has been very frustrating and I’ve had a hard time progressing with being able to create anything. And I am moving up to Scotland for a job.
