This takes place at the Barnes Community Centre by the pond

Cath will be introducing you to the joys of flax spinning, sharing its history and links to fairy tales.  She will bring some retted flax straw so you can see how the fibres are separated.  She will talk about the different styles of distaff and teach you to dress one. Your flax pack will contain long line flax, tow and top which will be spun in a variety of ways.
